As part of the City of Oxnard's Stars and Stripes Event, celebrating American's 250th Anniversary at Downtown Plaza Park on Friday, July 3rd, the Filipino American Council of Ventura County performed a traditional Muslim scarf dance, the Kzaduratan. On Monday, June 15, FACVC hosted a community outing to Dodger Stadium to celebrate Filipino Heritage Night. On Friday, June 12, the Filipino American Council of Ventura County (FACVC) proudly celebrated Philippine Independence Day (Araw ng Kalayaan) with a Flag Raising Ceremony at Oxnard City Hall.
